How We Charge You

  • Full payment upfront. When you place an order at HobbyKita, your payment method gets charged the full amount immediately — including taxes and any expedited shipping fees.
  • Pre-sale items. Pre-orders are charged in full at the time you place the order, even though the product ships later.
  • Single transaction. You’ll see one charge on your statement covering your entire order — products, taxes, and shipping.

We work with secure, PCI-compliant payment processors. Here’s what you can use at checkout:

  • Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay

Currency

All prices, charges, and refunds on hobbykita.com are in U.S. Dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank will handle the conversion at their current rate — and they may add their own fees on top.

Sales Tax

We collect sales tax where required by U.S. state law. The exact tax amount depends on your shipping address and gets calculated automatically at checkout. If you’re a tax-exempt buyer, email us at CONTACT@hobbykita.com with your exemption certificate before placing your order.

Failed or Declined Payments

Payments can fail for a bunch of reasons. Here’s what happens if your payment fails:

  • We’ll send you an email letting you know
  • You’ll have 48 hours to update your payment info
  • If we don’t hear back, the order gets canceled automatically
  • Your items go back into our available stock

Pricing Changes

  • Prices on our site can change at any time without notice
  • Prices in your cart aren’t locked in until you complete checkout
  • Once your order is placed, your price is locked in — we won’t charge you more even if prices rise
  • We don’t refund the difference if prices drop after your purchase

Disputed Charges & Chargebacks

If you don’t recognize a charge from HobbyKita, please contact us first before disputing it with your bank. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first can result in your account being suspended or a ban on placing future orders.

Promotional Codes & Discounts

  • Codes apply only to qualifying products listed in the promotion
  • Only one promo code can be used per order
  • Codes can’t be combined with other offers unless we say otherwise
  • Expired or misused codes won’t be honored after the order is placed

Refunds

Refund eligibility and processing are covered in detail in our Refund & Returns Policy. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless we made the mistake.
